The calibration methods for flow switches mainly include the following steps:
1. Power On: Connect the brown and black wires to a 24V DC power supply.
2. Initial Testing: Turn on the water faucet and observe whether the display on the fire flow switch reaches 20%. When it reaches 20%, the red light will illuminate, and the output terminal will change from normally open to normally closed. After confirming that the test is functioning correctly and all outputs are normal, connect the blue and yellow wires of the output terminal to the reserved control wires of the main pump. Once the main pump displays normally, the initial testing process for the entire flow switch is complete.
3. Parameter Setting: Set the relevant parameters of the flow switch according to fluid characteristics and application requirements, such as measurement range, sensitivity, alarm values, etc.
4. Using Calibration Equipment: After setting the parameters, use a standard flowmeter and calibration equipment to calibrate the flow switch.
5. Gradual Adjustment: During the testing process, gradually adjust the sensitivity and threshold values of the flow switch, observe its response, until the best measurement and control effect is achieved.
6. Inspection and Verification: After calibration, conduct a flow test to verify whether the flow switch can accurately reflect the actual flow value. At the same time, check that the set value of the flow switch is not lower than the factory setting. By pressing the main lever several times, check if there is a "click" sound when the main lever returns. If not, rotate the adjustment screw clockwise until a "click" sound is heard when the lever returns.
In addition, during the entire calibration process, the following points should be noted:
• Follow the Instructions: When setting parameters and calibrating, carefully read the product manual to understand the specific steps and precautions.
• Avoid Arbitrary Changes: Do not arbitrarily change the already set parameters to avoid affecting the accuracy of the measurement data.
• Safety First: Pay attention to safety during calibration and testing to avoid accidents. If calibration needs to be performed under live conditions, it should be operated by professionals.
Different models and brands of flow switches may have different calibration methods and steps. Therefore, it is important to thoroughly understand the calibration requirements of the specific equipment before calibration.
